The passion and support for the Old Dunstonian sporting community has seen a saddening decline in recent years…
But now is the time for a resurgence in the spirit that was so perfectly embodied by the ‘OD Pink Elephant' ethos.
If you’re not familiar with the Old Dunstonians or just need reminding… that ethos has always been about:

‘Enjoyment, Camaraderie, Enthusiasm, Conviviality’

Many of us wish our bodies could still cope with the punishment of playing various team sports…
We are all still looking for ways to keep fit, vent the stresses of life and generally be part of something that brings back at least some of that spirit of fellowship and community.

NOW YOU CAN… as we proudly launch ‘Old Dunstonian Pink Elephant Cycling’ (ODPEC).

This is your chance to be part of a new OD fellowship but without the same punishment on your body and perhaps more family friendly time involvement.
We will set ourselves apart from other local cycling clubs by concentrating on the foremost goal of being a great social club.
The key to this will be absolute focus on that Pink Elephant spirit - Enjoyment, Camaraderie, Enthusiasm, Conviviality – ‘cliques’ most definitely off the menu.

It doesn't matter if you've drifted away from the Old Dusntonians over the years or never even heard of us.
We will ensure that all are welcome (including other halves) with plenty of opportunity to enjoy a varied range of rides and social events.
We intend to organise 1/2 rides most weekends and midweek, evening rides during the summer.
Additionally we will take part in various Sportives around the country throughout the year.
First official ride will be during the weekend of 5/6th April – look out for details…

We start the drive for members RIGHT NOW…
Join up for just £65 per year and that includes British Cycling’s RIDE membership (worth £32) for free – (existing British Cycling Ride, Silver or Gold members receive a £32 discount).
That’s just a little over £5 per month and helps us establish a new cycling club and re-ignite that ‘Pink Elephant' sporting and social spirit.
Please bear in mind that the actual Pink Elephant membership fee is, therefore, just £33 per year.
This is highly comparable to other local clubs when you consider the addition of the clubhouse facilities – not to mention the different league of spirit and ethos we will have.
(British Cycling RIDE membership includes a whole host of member benefits amongst which is a comprehensive 3rd party liability insurance cover, which we have decided is a mandatory requirement for ODPEC).

Kit prices begin at £45 for short-sleeved jersey with full-length concealed zip.
Long-sleeved winter jersey with full-length concealed zip (in roubaix-type material) will be around £55.
Waterproof, Windproof, breathable Gilet will be around £50.
Polo shirts will be around £45.
Male and female sizes/cuts available for jerseys but not gillet or Polo.
Other garments will be added to the range as we build up membership.
