ODs Look To Bounce Back In Local Derby

It wasn't only OD pride that took a bruising at the weekend

A closely fought fixture at home vs Beccehamians saw the ODs suffer their first home loss of the season...at their first home game of the season. A statistic that the team will be keen to not let progress any further.

ODs did well to fight back to a 35-42 loss despite a lengthy break and pitch relocation as a clash of heads saw both Beccehamians and ODs suffer casualties. Sending Rhys Bozier our best wishes in his recovery and glad it was nothing too serious.

Onto the weekend! And Saturday 22nd September the old boys travel down the road to Park House. A local derby that tends to either be a close knit affair, or a routing victory on our part. With only 1 out of the last 5 meetings of the sides resulting in less than 45 points scored across the board.

The ODs have slipped from pole position in the league table to 5th place. But only 3 points separate them from the top spot. With Lewes playing at home to Pulborough it may give us the chance to reclaim the top spot if we can achieve a win down at Barnet Wood Road.

With the match being so close to home we hope to see a strong away contingent on the touchline!

3pm KO.
