After a well earned rest the 1st XV this week travel down to Minster to face off against Sheppey in the league.
Sheppey are new boys to the league this season, gaining promotion last year from Kent 1. That promotion campaign saw an unbeaten season and drawing only once against HSBC. They currently sit 8th in London 3 South East, having won 3 and lost 6. This is another prime target for the 1st XV to aim to get a 5 point haul and climb their way out of the relegation zone.
The Old Boys target team, Park House face off against Aylesford Bulls, and the ODs will be hoping to see an upset in that fixture with Aylesford Bulls getting their first win of the season allowing the 1st XV to close the points gap. Sheppey have previously lost to Park House and Gillingham Anchorians. If this is any yard stick the ODs can go into this fixture with a good chance of collecting some valuable points.
Injuries still plague the side with top try scorer, Jamal Gobir, having to miss this week with a thigh injury, all are wishing him a speedy recovery. This will allow the likes of Linval Antonio and Malachi Connolly to pounce and heat up the race for the Woodward Salver as top try scorer for the season. There will be a first team debut for Danny Carter who's impressive displays in the A XV have earned him a place on the bench. Other than that small change the side is pretty much unchanged from the weeks before. This continuity is paying dividends with a side that are gelling well.
All the action kicks off at 2.30pm at Sheppey. Updates will be on Facebook and Twitter. Those that can make it we hope to see you there.
