As the year ends and we have reached the midpoint of the season, a look at where we stand...

ODs currently find themselves midtable after a disappointing last 2 matches, with Beccehamians appearing to be our new local bogey team. A fairly equal: Played 11, Won 5, Lost 5, Drawn 1.

The almost yearly showdown at Park Langley against Bromley resulted in a draw with a fantastic crowd from a well attended league lunch. A game played in the spirit of rugby by both sides, regardless of our history.

There are both positives and improvements to take from the performance thus far. With a lot of work going on behind the scenes the coaching team are tirelessly ensuring that ODs do not allow themselves to slip any further. At one point this season we found ourselves 2nd in the table and gunning strongly for 1st place after a well attended joint training session with London 2 neighbours Beckenham RFC. Where the power of our scrum was evident, and at times superior to that of a high flying outfit from the league above.

A look forward to 2019, the first 2 games of the year are against Park House and Folkestone who will both be looking for vengeance after ~10 point defeats to ODs.

As always your unfettered support from the sidelines is greatly appreciated by the whole club; and as we hope to have reached the brow of our injury crisis mountain, will continue to carry on our rise to the upper echelons of the table.

ODs return to league action on Saturday 5th January vs Park House @ Home, 2pm KO.

Wishing you a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year from the whole ODs family!
